When can I arrive and when do I need to leave?

Normally check in is after 4pm on the day of arrival and check out is before 6pm on the day of departure. If this is not the case for your booking we will confirm before you book.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Retreats In order for us to confirm a reservation we require a 20% non-returnable deposit. Full payment is required 8 weeks before arrival. Any bookings made less than 8 weeks before the first day of the event must be paid in full.

Events In order for us to confirm a reservation we require a 50% non-returnable deposit. Full payment is required on the day of the event.

Can I cancel?

We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and who then cancels. We do, however, appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can intervene, and we try to be as sympathetic and helpful as possible in such cases

What happens if Mariola Secreta cancels?

If it is necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. All payments already made will be refunded in full. Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.

Do I need insurance?

You are responsible for travel and health insurance. The UK GHIC card www.nhs.uk/ghic provides emergency health care in Spain but you must decide if this is sufficient given the activities you plan to do and your own health.

What happens if I damage or break something?

Please take care of El Cipreret. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.

What about anti social behaviour?

We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal activities, vandalism and rude and abusive behaviour towards us and anyone working alongside us. Illegal activities, drug taking and excessive alcohol consumption will immediately be reported to the police. Rude or abusive guests will be asked to leave with immediate effect.

What about COVID

If there are Covid related restrictions in place during your booking we will follow these as they apply to us. If you are unable to travel to El Cipreret due to Covid or if we are unable to host you due to lockdowns or restrictions imposed on us by the Spanish government we will offer you a voucher that will allow you to postpone your stay to another time.

Do you hold any data about me?

Some of the data gathered during the course of a booking may be held on computer. We would like to hold this data after your visit to be able to inform you of future offers. If you would prefer us not to hold this information please let us know. For more details about how we will use your date please see our privacy policy.

Do I have a key to my room?

You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay and we will give you a key for your room. You have full responsibility for this key for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at €15.00 per set.

Does Mariola Secreta accept any liability?

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.

What happens if I leave something behind?

We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a minimum charge of €20.00 to cover postage and packaging.

Can I bring a pet?

We are unable to accommodate pets, so please do not bring your pets with you. Please note that we have one cat.

Can I smoke?

Smoking is NOT permitted within any part of our house, the garden, grounds or woodland. Offending guests may be asked to leave immediately and may be liable for professional cleaning of any rooms and any outstanding balance of nights booked but not taken through early departure.

Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law and you can bring legal proceedings in respect of the services in the Spanish courts.
